La Yerberia Botanicals

Rebecca

Rebecca Garza is a practicing herbalist and herbal educator who helps people connect with healing plants. Drawing on her background in environmental biology, she uses her understanding of natural systems and patterns to clarify the actions of herbs and the benefits of healing plants.

In 2009 she founded La Yerberia Botanicals, layerberia.com, creating a line of effective healing formulas using whole herbs and all organic and/or wild-crafted ingredients.

Rebecca works with individuals and groups as well as health care professionals and business owners. She offers herbal consultations for individuals who seek to use plants on their healing journey and teaches small-group workshops on how to make herbal salves and lotions.

She collaborates with health practitioners and spas to create custom herbal formulations and private label products. Since 2019 she is an approved provider for the national certification board (NCBTMB) for licensed massage therapists offering a 6-CEU course called Herbalism for Self-Care.

Whole herbs. Whole person. Real healing.

Plant medicine rooted in biology, tradition, and 30 years of practice

Rebecca works with the whole herb — not isolated compounds — because plants heal the way they were meant to: as a complete system, not a single ingredient pulled from its matrix.

The plants have been doing this longer than we have

Herbal consultations, custom formulations, and education for individuals and practitioners

From a first consultation to a fully custom formula, Rebecca meets you where you are — troubleshooting what isn't working, building what your body actually needs, and teaching you how to use plants with confidence.

Empowerment is the whole point

Workshops, CEU courses, and herbal education for healers and everyday people

Rebecca teaches massage therapists, health practitioners, and community members how to make their own salves, lotions, and formulas — because knowing how to work with plants is one of the most grounding things a person can do for themselves.

What Rebecca brings

Herbalism, education, and whole-plant medicine since 2009

Rebecca Garza is a practicing herbalist and herbal educator with over 30 years of study and the founder of La Yerberia Botanicals.

Her background in environmental biology shapes everything — she works with whole herbs and organic, wild-crafted ingredients because she understands what happens when you pull a single compound out of the plant matrix it was born into.

Rebecca offers individual herbal consultations, small-group workshops, custom formulations for practitioners and spas, and a 6-CEU course in Herbalism for Self-Care approved by the national certification board for licensed massage therapists.

Her greatest passion is teaching people to make their own medicine — and the sense of empowerment that comes with it.
