Where you can help
Content Creator
For people who love photos, video, or writing
Show up at Rootlight events with your phone or camera. Capture moments that tell the story of what happens in these spaces — the people, the energy, the transformation. Help us write practitioner spotlights, event recaps, or Spanish-language content for our bilingual community.
You don't need professional equipment. You need a good eye and a genuine connection to the mission.
Community Ambassador
For people who love talking to people
Be a Rootlight voice in your own circles. Share what we're doing with friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers. Table with us at community events, markets, and fairs. Help distribute flyers at libraries, clinics, laundromats, and community centers.
This is word-of-mouth work — the most powerful kind — and it starts with you genuinely believing in what Rootlight is doing.
Event Support
For people who show up and get things done
Help us set up and break down at community events. Greet and welcome attendees. Staff the registration table. Guide people through the space. Collect surveys and feedback forms at the end.
Event support volunteers are the reason our gatherings feel warm instead of logistical. It's hands-on, tangible, and you'll leave knowing exactly what you contributed.
What to expect
Flexible commitment — We work around your schedule. There's no minimum hours requirement. Show up when you can.
Real connection — You'll work alongside board members, practitioners, and other community members who are serious about this mission.
Room to grow — As Rootlight grows, so do the opportunities. Volunteers who want more responsibility will have it.
