The Rootlight Collective exists to support and uplift alternative forms of wellness practices.

We support wellness practitioners across diverse modalities by creating a strong, values-driven community rooted in shared care, collaboration, and visibility. We believe that healing is most powerful when it is connected—not isolated—and that practitioners thrive when supported by a network that sees, values, and honors their work.

Our mission is to cultivate an ecosystem where bodyworkers, energy healers, coaches, herbalists, mental health providers, and other healing professionals can exchange referrals, co-create offerings, share resources, and feel a sense of belonging. This Collective is a container where your gifts are not only welcomed, but amplified.

We are guided by values of equity, mutual respect, relational sustainability, and spiritual integrity. We honor diverse traditions, modalities, and identities, and we believe in collaboration over competition, visibility without performance, and community without burnout.

A platform to teach from

Teach what you know through Rootlight's community events, workshops, and programming. You don't need to build your own audience from scratch — you show up, you teach, the community shows up with you.

Practitioners to build with

Monthly gatherings with other practitioners who understand the work. Quarterly collaborative events where multiple modalities come together to create something none of us could build alone. A room where you don't have to explain yourself.

A listing in our practitioner directory. Your content reshared to our community. Your name and practice associated with a mission-driven organization — not a weekend market. Visibility that builds trust instead of performing for foot traffic.

A nonprofit home for your work

When you're affiliated with us, you're not just a solo practitioner — you're part of a recognized, mission-driven 501(c)(3). That association opens doors: corporate wellness partnerships, school programs, shelter collaborations, and grant-funded initiatives that individual practitioners can't access on their own.

That's what a participant said after our first community retreat — a five-hour experience created by five Rootlight practitioners working together. Forty people showed up. Fifteen stayed afterward to keep talking.

You're In

When approved, we send you a welcome message and payment link. From there you're added to our directory, invited to our next gathering, and introduced to the collective.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is Rootlight Collective for?

This space is for wellness practitioners of all kinds—bodyworkers, energy healers, therapists, coaches, herbalists, doulas, and others offering care rooted in healing, transformation, or embodiment. You don’t need to be licensed or full-time to belong here—if your work serves healing, you’re welcome.

Is this a referral network or a business group?

We’re a community first. Yes, we have a referral system and shared visibility tools (like a public directory), but the heart of this Collective is connection, not performance or competition. We uplift each other, share resources, and collaborate in ways that feel good—not transactional.

How much does it cost to join?

We offer a sliding scale annual contribution ($25–$150), plus options for work trade or in-kind support. No one is turned away for lack of funds. Your contribution helps sustain shared tools like the website, events, and member support.

How are decisions made?

We use a rotating Steering Circle (volunteer-led) to hold logistics and care for the group. All members are invited to contribute ideas, lead events, or participate in seasonal decision-making. It’s a collaborative model—no hierarchy, no burnout.

Do I have to commit a lot of time?

Nope. This is a choose-your-own-capacity space. You can join just to be in the loop, show up for seasonal gatherings, or step into deeper roles like organizing, leading, or trading. Your level of engagement can shift with the seasons of your life and work.

What’s expected of me as a member?

We ask that you engage with care and respect, contribute in a way that’s sustainable for you (financially or in-kind), and honor our shared agreements around equity, boundaries, and community. You don’t need to be “on” all the time—just aligned in intention.

What if I’m brand new or not sure where I fit in?

That’s okay. Many members are still defining their work or stepping into visibility. You don’t have to be “established” to join. This is a space to be seen as you are, grow at your own pace, and be part of something bigger.

What happens after I join?

You’ll get access to the private member space, be invited to join the directory, receive seasonal newsletters, and be welcomed into gatherings and community threads. From there, you can follow your curiosity and connect in ways that nourish you.
